The Story Behind Catch Me If You Can

Some songs are about chasing someone. Catch Me If You Can is about being the one worth chasing.

SHAB’s new single arrives Friday, October 23, along with its official music video. It’s a dance-pop track built on pulsing beats, a seductive melody and lyrics that never take themselves too seriously. It’s flirty, it’s confident and it’s made for the dance floor.

Where it started

In SHAB’s words:

“There’s something exciting about the chase, especially when you’re the one making the rules. With Catch Me If You Can, I wanted to capture that feeling of confidence, attraction, and having fun without taking things too seriously. It’s playful, it’s sexy, and it’s about knowing your worth while enjoying the moment.”

That’s the heart of the song. It’s not about waiting to be picked. It’s about knowing who you are, setting the pace and enjoying every second of it.

Who made it

Catch Me If You Can was produced by GRAMMY-winning producer and songwriter Damon Sharpe, whose credits include Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Minogue and Pitbull. The production is built for movement, with room for SHAB’s vocals to lead with the same confidence the song is about.

Shot in Los Angeles

The official music video was filmed in Los Angeles during the same trip the Squad followed earlier this month. If you’ve caught the racing looks on her socials this week, you’ve had a small preview. The full video drops Friday.

Building on Perfume

Catch Me If You Can follows Perfume and Best Of All Time. Her Perfume (VIP Mix) reached No. 11 on the Mediabase Dance chart and No. 16 on Billboard’s Dance Airplay chart, her highest official peaks on both charts so far. This next one keeps that momentum moving.
