It's out. Catch Me If You Can is out today, the song and the official music video, everywhere you listen.
I told you where this song came from in The Story Behind Catch Me If You Can. Today is about the part you can finally see and hear.
Why I made it
I'm done asking permission to be me. That's what this song is about. Independence, confidence and the thrill of the chase. I want people to blast it and walk into the room as if they own it.
The video
We shot the video at a go-kart track in Los Angeles. Neon lights, racing looks, full choreography, and a day on set that ended at 2:30 in the morning. And yes, that's me behind the wheel.
Éli Sokhn directed it, Richy Jackson choreographed it, and my friend Nadezda Vlasova styled every look.
Thank you
This took a village. Thank you to Bonnie McKee, Damon Sharpe and J Hart for writing this song, and to Damon for producing it. To Éli Sokhn for directing the video, Richy Jackson for the choreography, and Badass Kid and Laith Souqi for producing it. To Alexis Mendez behind the camera, Jenna Howell for my hair and makeup, Nadezda Vlasova for every look, and Dak for the cover art. And to every dancer and every person on that crew who stayed until the very end: I see you, and I'm so grateful.
To my family, thank you for your love and support, always. And to Rob, my guiding light and our executive producer, thank you for believing in this from the very first note.
