Every so often, someone holds up a mirror and you see your own life in a light you didn't know it had.
This month, that mirror is a magazine cover.
I'm on the cover of the November issue of the Corporate Hippie Oracle. Kerry Romano Zall flew to Los Angeles and spent a week inside my world while we made the video for Catch Me If You Can. She was at the racetrack at four in the afternoon, and she was still there at 2:30 in the morning when we finally wrapped. She sat in on rehearsals. She met my crew and my family. She watched every "one more."
I told you about that week myself in A Week in Los Angeles. Reading Kerry's version, I got to see that week through someone else's eyes, and I recognized myself there.
Kerry called her story Behind the Star. It goes back much further than Los Angeles, all the way to Tehran, and to the people and traditions that came with me. I hope you'll read it on the Oracle, in her words: Behind the Star, by Kerry Romano Zall.
Kerry, thank you for listening so closely, and for holding my story with so much care.
LIGHT, PASSED FROM HAND TO HAND
Catch Me If You Can came out on October 23, and since then so many writers have shared it with their readers. Every premiere and every review feels like a little light passed from one hand to the next. Thank you to:
1883 Magazine, for premiering the music video
Luxury Lifestyle Magazine, for including me in the Luxury Lifestyle List
And there is more music on its way to you very soon. The Squad always hears it first, so if you haven't joined yet, consider this your invitation.
Own your light.
