U.S. NATIONAL TOUR WITH THE WANTED
Our U.S. national tour with The Wanted from Britain was exhausting and challenging from a scheduling standpoint, with 30 takeoffs and landings over an 16 day stretch -- but I could not have been more pleased with the results! Our tour shows in Los Angeles, Chicago, Las Vegas & Manhattan were particularly epic: and the boys from The Wanted and their team could not have been more gentlemanly, kind or engaging. And we were all floored by this review of my Manhattan show, which you can find online in a number of outlets (including Yahoo News).
UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD
Next up, we are super excited to be performing in the Holiday Concert Series at Universal Studios Hollywood in greater Los Angeles on December 19th. While we are still working out technical details, my show squad (led by my Musical Director Mike Manning) & I expect to take the 5 Towers Stage at CitiWalk around 7:30p for a forty-minute performance with some current releases as well as some holiday standards that you know by heart. Come out and see us -- as we are going to put on one heck of a show!
SKIN & BONES
Many of you are aware that roughly five years ago – just as I was releasing my first album and COVID descended – my world was turned upside down. Specifically, my partner and the Love Of My Life was involved in a horrific and near-death car accident back in Texas while I was working that afternoon in a Los Angeles studio.
The physical recovery (with 23 separate surgical procedures) is still-ongoing, but God has favored us: as most people who encounter the two of us have no inkling that the trauma ever occurred.
And having been so blessed, we decided to repurpose the once melancholic 2020 song that chronicled that incident – SKIN & BONES – into a celebration of life, love and commitment. So last week we released this 2025 new version on a five track EP that includes two dance remixes by my longtime production partner, Damon Sharpe, that are climbing the dance charts.
The official music video – shot with Cinéma Vérité stylings (and has already made a lot of people cry in previews) – drops on Friday, December 5th. And you also will soon be hearing this joyous & celebratory remake on U.S. pop radio!
SANTA BABY
And finally, we have also re-released my version of the wonderful holiday classic, SANTA BABY – and together with a fun and whimsical new video, with my SHABulous dancers and as orchestrated by my Creative co-Directors Eli Sokhn & Richy Jackson. If you haven’t seen it already, you’ll love it!
